This week we took a sneaky Monday off and headed down to Camber Sands to soak up some sunshine and escape the city with fellow independent maker and seller Lottie, owner of CWJ London. We took some of our favourite Florence + Blank textiles and ceramics with us and Lottie brought some of her beautifully handmade bags and we enjoyed an indulgent picnic and an all round relaxing day out, with some productive shooting in-between!
With some exciting new artwork and home goods to upload to the website, we thought we would style some of them during our trip to show you that homewares can be versatile, and that they have great potential to be used outdoors too! Especially when the weather is as good as it has been.
We took some of The Super Sparrow's bowls with us, various textiles including Molly.G's blankets and napkins, and a few pieces from our in house collection, including hand sewn bolster cushions and our triangle totes, both made from vintage fabrics. Below is also some new artwork created by Amber Bardell exclusively for Florence + Blank, and we couldn't resist taking along to get some pictures of it on the beach!
Lottie's bags provided the perfect lifestyle vibe to our home goods. Her choices of colours range from bright and vibrant to more minimal and rustic, so no matter what there is something in her collection for everyone!
We had a brilliant adventure all round and If you're yet to go to Camber Sands or Rye then we highly recommend a trip. In fact we came across some fellow independent shops in the middle of the town which we couldn't resist going into. One that stood out in particular was a lifestyle store called RAE who only opened their doors a week ago! They offer homewares, lifestyle products, vintage pieces, plants and good coffee.. what more could you need!
