Grace notes that as an artist she used to think too much about what she was making, and was searching too hard for meaning behind her pieces. For some time she tried to create work with world changing messages to reflect her values; whether that would be centred around politics, equality, or the environment. Finding these messages hard to deliver through her art, she came to the realisation that she wasn't enjoying what she was creating. Having taken a step back and relieving herself of these pressures she eventually returned to creating things purely for enjoyment. This started to shine through her work, and her audience also responded much better to this new approach too. She quickly realised that just by making another person feel happy with her art, she was in fact making a positive change.
